Introducing our latest Spokesmodel, Laura!

Today the blog is graced with the images of Laura. Laura attends Nashua High South, so if you are a junior at Nashua High South, seek her out as she will have special bookmarks which are worth a $25 discount on senior portraits at Studio Mark Emile. We had a great time photographing her on Saturday, and can't wait for her outdoor session. Laura is a talented artist, as you can see.

2nd Annual Nashua Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert

Say that three times fast. It's quite a mouthful. And for those who attended, quite an earful as well!

We returned to Sky Lounge for this year's event. What a blast! Seeing people from far away that you haven't seen in decades- how cool is that? Um, very.

This year's event was particularly special to me as Nightrider, a band for whom I ran sound many moons ago, was inducted. They opened up the festivities, and while lesser known than the other bands, managed to get a very warm reception indeed. The place was totally hopping when the Milkcrates took the stage. You got the sense they could have played all night and people would have been thrilled. Area artist John Paul joined for a couple of songs, including a surprisingly heavy version of War Pigs. Fun stuff! When Factory Street came on, there were a lot of the same people on stage, showing how much players went from band to band. Finally came the Ballou Brothers Band. Having enjoyed the entire show, I can tell you that Nashua is home to a surprising amount of musical talent. You really need to catch this show next year, and if Mayor Donnalee Lozeau has her way, there will be a similar concert at Holman Stadium this summer. Now THAT promises to be some kind of blowout!

The guitar signed by all the band members from each band.

John Paul and his son are called on stage by Her Honor Mayor Donnalee Lozeau.

Factory Street bringing it.

The Ballou Brothers Band getting down.

A great time was had by all. Thanks to Alex and the staff at Sky Lounge for providing a venue for this benefit concert for the 2nd year in a row. The Boys and Girls Club surely did well this year.

There are WAY more images than can sensibly be blogged. I will post a link to many more soon.

A Gift For Her Husband

Val called a few weeks ago, looking to do something special for her husband. Referred to us by Kelly over at Caribe Tan in Hudson, she wanted to do "something glamorous" even though she is not comfortable in front of the camera because her husband had complained that he has practically no pictures of her. We had her in for a consultation to design a session specifically tailored to her needs and wants, and by the time we were done she was actually looking forward to her session in the studio. but it was to be a surprise gift, so we had to keep this all under wraps.

Amanda Burgess came by to do makeup for her, and we had her session. The first item on the agenda was to replicate an image from one of our displays. That was accomplished in short order, so then we began to play a bit. By the time we ended our session in the camera room, she was so excited about what we had created and what she had experienced that she decided she could not wait for her premier, and there was no way she was going to be able to keep this a secret until his actual birthday in June. So she brought him to the premier! How fun! Here are a few of the images we created. We're glad we can finally blog them! :)

Two Little Sweeties!

Zoe and Ashley came to the studio this morning. As often happens, they were a little timid when they got here, but by the time they left we were all good friends. Such cuties, don't you think?

Last minute headshot!

Whom do you call when it's the last minute (we go to press on Monday! OMG!) and you need an updated headshot? Studio Mark Emile, that's who. We were happy to find time to fit Maryse in on short notice. It was quick, painless, affordable, and we ended up with a nice result, as you can see here. And she will make her deadline. Can't beat that with a stick. Give us a try, you'll be glad you did!
